Happy Birthday Cyerra!!!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday Cyerra,
Happy Birthday to you!!!

It's Done!

I took Micah to get her drivers license yesterday. We had to meet her old drivers Ed teacher for the skills test. He was sure to ask her if she was sure she wanted to take it on Friday the 13th, after I had been asking her all morning. She did well. She took a big corner a bit fast...and has issues stopping completely at stop signs. And I thought it was a bit unfair she had to parallel park where there was no cars...lol. We hurried over for her to take the written test right after.
She only missed 3! She finally got her "mug shot" and the lady congratulated her! The day didn't go off without a hitch though. We did go to take the test and found out that the tags were expired by almost 3 months, and then we had to buy new Idaho plates because I guess ours were too old according to law! But I guess if this is the worst, it's all good!

I have finished my first catering job. WOW!!! Didn't know it would be so hard and stressful. I ended up decorating, setting up centerpieces, making corsages, boutinerres, and assemblying the cake on top of all of the food. It was crazy. Everyone said they loved the food and I didn't run out. Now I am getting ready to caterer a wedding in October.

Can't wait to see everyone on the 21st.

Throwing up

Wow - that stomach virus is everywhere! Richard spent the 4th in his hotel room throwing up. Spencer spent the morning in his bedroom throwing up. Jared spent all day yesterday throwing up. Abe had spent much of the last week throwing up. Richard was sick the week before. Other than my headache from too much sun and not enough water on the 4th - I feel fine. I hope I don't get sick for the patriotic fireside I'm directing on Sunday.

If Jared feels up to it - he's flying to SLC to be picked up by Ben and head to Downey for a Park Family reunion, then Ben will take him to EFY at BYU monday morning. The rest of us will head up on the 13th to be there for Clarisa's wedding. If everyone is feeling well, that is.

STRESS!!!

How was everyone's 4th. Ours was pretty quiet. It hailed and rained and my boys thought we might have to postpone doing the fireworks. It was really killing them thinking they couldn't do them.

I am getting ready to cater my first wedding. I have had many sleepless nights and bad dreams of things that could and might go wrong. It is going to be in her backyard and watching the weather, there is a chance for rain and wind. YUCK!!!!!

Wish me luck and talk to you soon.

4th of July

So what are everyone's plans for the 4th??
So far we have gone to Bear Lake to play, and
to the square for fireworks on Saturday.
Thinking we will probably go to the parade tomorrow.
Might go to Poky for a family picnic.

Like my picture? I finally got a decent camera!

It Happened

So it finally happened. I put all my trust in this little handy device called a GPS, and well I got lost. It is a sad day. Coming home from Bear Lake through Logan, I was fine till downtown Logan. I guess I don't go there often enough. I was following the little commands, and it took me on the very very wrong route. Needless to say, it was a good thing I did get gas, even though I thought I could get home on half a tank....lol Then to make things worse, after getting on the interstate there was construction after Tremonton. I know, its hard to believe, construction in Utah. My idea of making the trip shorter by not going up through Pocatello was cut short by a lovely man transporting sheep at 25 miles an hour for over 10 miles. Other than that the ride was pretty uneventful. Brad did get sick going through the canyon and Stetzon got sick and threw up on our very slow ride on the interstate. I still have yet to figure out why he got sick here.

Blog???

I've never blogged before, but I think this is a great idea. Today I'll type. Next time maybe I'll post a picture???

Hey Traci,

I'm glad you joined! And I think the picture is great! It has been way too long since I've seen everyone! Keep the pictures coming!
Since there is a picture of your family I thougth I would add my family too. I think its fun to see how everyone has changed.

Carina,
I think the blog is a wonderful idea of keeping up with the goings on with everybody. We are sure excited to see everyone in July. Craig, Christopher and Cameron can't wait to go swimming. We have had a very busy summer. Finally baseball is over until the fall for Christopher. Cameron is a level 4 gymnast and has practice three times a week for 2 hours. Of course it is across town. He loves doing flips, climbing the rope and learning how to do splits. In 2008 he will start competing. We will travel to Denver and Colorado Springs for some of his meets. And he is only 6. Craig is going on his first boy scout campout on July 11. They have made Ernie the 11 year old scout leader and is loving it. I told him I would somehow get him to go to church every week. Hope all is well. See you soon,

Love

Another surgery!

I had surgery again on the 22nd of March - My first being on the 22nd of Feb. They didn't find much on the first and were starting to blame my poor gallbladder. I thought that they were going to take it out....but they ended up putting a scope down into my stomach. I don't know many results yet, but he took 2 more biopsies. It's a good thing I work in the OR because right as they were putting me to sleep the doc walks in and says...We are doing a colonoscopy with no sedation, right....Just as I screamed no...he says thats right....we're not, but we didn't have time to clean the scope between cases. Man oh man, if I didn't work there I would be really worried they were serious....
Hmmmm...I think they were kidding. Anyways, I came out, without having breath smelling of poop. I did have to have oxygen, although the guy next to me in the recovery room who was 83 did not have to. I did have a few tatoos that I couldn't account for, kept finding more and more later in the day. But I felt pretty ok. Took the kids on a bike ride and played church volleyball that night.
Wish me luck at work on monday, and tuesday at my doc appointment.

It didn't take much to knock me out!

So, my friend, the anesthesiologist says....how ya feeling? I say, I don't want to remember anything. One tube in, then another, then he says "do you feel it working?" I say yes, and that's all I remember.... Wow, it didn't take much to knock me out! And ya know what, I don't remember a thing, dang good thing!!!
The Doc took 6 biopsy's and said that he is concerned there is some area with no visible blood vessels. But said nothing too concerning...so I'm happy. I have an appointment on Wednesday to find out test results, wish me luck.

What to do?!?

So on Friday, I get a call from the hospital. Silly me, I thought it was test results from that morning. It wasn't. It was the Nurse Supervisor. She offered me 2 jobs. I told her I would think about it over the weekend, and let her know Monday when I went to work. I'm still no closer to deciding. So I need help. Should I take the Health Unit Coordinator job in the ER - 7pm to 7am 3 nights a week. It is checking people into the ER, contacting Docs, Arranging life flights, billing, and filing, and switchboard. The other Job is CNA in Med/Surg PRN - that could end up many hours because they are so short on nurses. I could decide on either and go for an interview or I could take neither. Any ideas?

Work and the Glory

We went to see the 3rd Work and the Glory Movie last night. I love the first 2, so I assumed the 3rd would be just as good. Well, it was good, but for being the last in the series I wasn't impressed. There seemed to be no real ending. They ended it with you thinking there would be more to come, but from all I understand there will be no more? Oh, and we sat in the worst spot! The theater was full when we got there, so we ended up on the very top. There were these 2 teenage girls that kept going back and forth back and forth back and forth. I'm usually pretty patient with that, but when they weren't going back and forth, they were running up the stairs, down the stairs. I almost had to make a scene at a mormon movie! Over all it was a good night out. Thanks mom and dad for picking up Brad at the school so we could go!

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick note to say hi to everyone! Micah just got her permit on Monday, pedestrians beware! She is actually doing pretty well. Brad is busy this week with Basketball and Choir. Jenna has been sick this week, but is going to pre-school today. You should've seen all the homework she had. And Joey, well he really gives me a run for the money...hahaha
